How do I transfer ETH from Ethereum to Polygon? Polygon is a blockchain that provides scalable, secure, and quick transactions with Ethereum currencies such as ETH, USDC, and DAI. In order to spend your Ethereum currencies on Polygon, you must first bridge them from the Ethereum network (ETH) to the Polygon network (PoS). OpenSea Pro’s bridge has a built-in refuel mechanism that lets you bridge ETH to Polygon and swap a portion of it to MATIC. Please note, the official token for transaction fees (gas fees) on Polygon network (PoS) is MATIC. Buying and selling NFTs on Polygon may require acquiring additional MATIC. How can I bridge ETH from Ethereum to Polygon on OpenSea Pro? Bridging ETH to Polygon is easy on OpenSea Pro! To get started, head to the Wallet Manager in the top right corner. To bridge ETH from Ethereum to Polygon, make sure that ETH is the selected token, and the network next to From is Ethereum. Likewise, confirm that the recipient network, next to To, is Polygon. On Polygon, ETH is labeled as WETH. Enter the amount of ETH you’d like to bridge. Once you’ve confirmed the amount, click Review Quote and Confirm Bridge, then complete teh signature request in your wallet. Wait for the bridging process to complete. Please note, bridging ETH and other currencies to Polygon will usually take around 20 minutes to complete. You can close the wallet manager in the meantime. Once the bridge has completed, you will see a confirmation message (see below). How can I check the status of an ongoing bridge? To check on an ongoing bridge, head back to the wallet manager and click on Pending. Click on the ongoing bridge transaction, and once more on Track this transaction to get redirected to https://socketscan.io/ where you can view specific information on the status of your bridge transfer.
